On A More Serious Note…

After last weeks “Photoshopping” Debacle, I thought it would be important to move to more realistic topics.  Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun.  The biggest news as of late is that our house church is going on a corporate fast together.  The Lord was really pressing several of us independently about the need to step out in a new way and move forward with what the Lord is calling us to.  But we have little idea what that looks like.  We know we need Jesus to show up in our midst and that what we’ve experienced so far is not enough to take where we’re going.  So we called a fast. Keep tuned…we’ll give more details and more direction over the next few days.

Also, hopefully soon I’m going to get around to writing a little more seriously about some things the Lord has been stirring on my heart.  Look for “A Vision For Cultivating Your Heart” and “Apostolic Witness and the Resurrection of Jesus” in the near future.

Also, on a more serious note, I want to say thanks to Randy Bohlender, writer of Stuff I Think, for a great run as a blogger.  I think Randy inspired a lot of us to write, to be ourselves, and to seek God wholeheartedly all at the same time through blogging.  His blogging will be missed.  Catch up with what people say about his departure here.

Love you all

Travis

The People Have Spoken

Okay, so in light of a recent surge in voting, we have reached the number of votes required to legally display Bryan’s other two photoshopped pictures.  So here are Bryan’s photos.  Bryan attempted to link not only these two photos, but Bryan also broke several man-code laws and put my head on Richard Simmon’s body.  As a result, I will not include Bryan’s link to his blog for the duration of this blog.  Should Bryan decide to remove my head from Richard Simmon’s body, I may decide to link to his blog so he can showcase his photoshopping skill to my little corner of the world.

I also want to say that I have learned a few things from this whole incident.  First, I learned that my love for Christy can survive anything–Imperial Assault, Zeplin Explosion, and even an attack from Godzilla.  Second, I was surprised to find out that there are some people reading that I didn’t realize were following the blog.  I want to say “hey” to Jessica (who I haven’t talked to in forever) and John Marcus from Japan, who contributed at the tail end of our vote.  (I want to say a special thank you to John Marcus who was the only person who voted no to posting Bryan’s picture.)  Lastly, I also discovered that Jamie Pexa had a blog from this whole deal.  Thanks for everyone’s participation, keep commenting, and maybe we’ll have some other fun vote in the new future.  We’ll see what Bryan comes up with.

I Win (And Proof That I’m Not A Bad Sport)

Okay, just to clue everyone in, Bryan Hamilton has been trying to take the picture of Christy and I kissing that I posted on my Valentine’s Day blog for the last two weeks.  This has resulted in countless empty comments from Bryan that have significantly increased my blog traffic, but not displayed his pictures.  You can check out the results under the comment section of this blog.  So today I got an email from WordPress asking me to decide whether I want this comment posted on my blog or not, and it contained Bryan’s latest attempt to access my wordpress account and post pictures.

So, to show I’m not a bad sport and to declare that I’m still winning, I will post one of three pictures Bryan tried to post all at once.  This will both serve to show that I still retain control of my wordpress blog and to display some very talented photoshopping on the part of Bryan.  And to show I’m a good sport, I will offer a vote.  If those who read would like to see other pictures, I will post their links.  But I need to see at least five votes from other readers in order to feel impelled to post them.  Do you want to see more photos like this?

Votes can be left in the comment section.  Let your voice be heard.
