Welcome to Pursuing Glory!

My name is Travis Kolder.  I am a follower of Jesus, a husband and father to a growing tribe of Kolders, an organic church planter, and a writer.  I currently serve with an amazingly gifted group of believers who are corporately known as the Cedar Rapids House Church Network, working to win and disciple lost people and equip followers of Jesus to plant organic churches all over eastern Iowa.  My calling as I understand it is to start reproducing house churches that embody the spirit of apostolic Christianity.

Jesus dramatically healed my mom of cancer at the age of 15 and delivered me from a lifestyle filled with the occult.  Since that time I have been working with lost individuals, forming new groups of believers, and helping cast vision for what Jesus is doing in the Earth.  In 2002, I found myself in Kansas City, Missouri as part of the International House of Prayer and the Rock International. God began to speak to me during that time (as He has to so many others) about His desire to change the understanding and expression of Christianity in the Earth in one generation.

This blog is my attempt to articulate the shifts that are coming to the Earth and the Church before the coming of Jesus.  I believe that the church of Jesus is about to experience the greatest outpouring of the Spirit in history that will result in an unprecedented harvest of souls.  The church of Jesus Christ needs to prepare for these days now before they come upon us.  I believe God is restoring the spirit of apostolic Christianity to the church in this hour to meet this task in front of us.

Expect to see posts about apostolic Christianity, intimacy with God, house churches, the end-times, church planting movements, evangelism, discipleship, and revival.  On top of that, I occasionally stray into topics like Kingdom finances, the care of widows and orphans, current news in the Christian and “secular” world, and even my own personal life.  Because I pull from very diverse streams, some of what I write about may seem totally unconnected to the part you came here to read about.  Stick around, it will all come together. I promise!
