Holy Spirit Lollapalooza

We have an official use of the phrase “Holy Spirit Lollapalooza” outside of my blog.  You can find its use here where Jason describes the effect of a spontaneous drum circle that took place at the Midwest Prayer Center when Randy Demain came and spoke.

Am I going overboard with the linking?

A New Phrase

We coined a new phrase in our prayer meeting Tuesday night to describe moments when the Holy Spirit comes in such a crazy way that you just can’t keep up.  I debuted the phrase in the comment section of this blog here but since many may not read the comments, I thought I would introduce it to you now.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you our new phrase:

Holy Spirit Blowout Lollapalooza

I’ve posted the links, now you do the homework. 🙂

A Return To Blogging And A Brief Update

So, I’ve had no internet access on my lap top the last week.  It’s made blogging hard.  Not that I’ve written anything to post, either.  Things have been busy.  Work has picked up.  Ariel and Christy need more time than anything I’m doing besides pursuing the Lord.  Things have been moving too fast to chronicle with the house church.

Last night was no exception.  We had some new friends show up who received the baptism of the Holy Spirit their first time to the church.  The last few weeks have been like that–God moving so fast and spontaneously that it’s hard to control, chronicle, or take credit for.  It has totally not looked like what we planned but it’s definitely the Lord.

My favorite quote from last night came as Bryan H (yes, the same Bryan H of the Blogging Wars) was praying for E.J.  It quickly became apparent that the Lord was meeting Bryan and a bunch of guys, wanting to get in on the action, gathered around Him.  Bryan’s response after the meeting was over was, “Hey, why is everyone trying to muscle in on my Holy Spirit action?”  Fun, huh?

 Yeah…its been like that lately.

Hoping to write more on contemplative prayer some time soon.
