My friend Chris was taking me on a guided tour of all the crazy Jesus videos on YouTube.  I’ll talk a little more about how I think God is using YouTube sometime. For now I’m posting this one because I think we need to understand what God is doing in America, especially in light of the Call happening this weekend. 

Thursday, after a long struggle with sickness, a dear father in the body of Christ, Art Katz, was received into the arms of the Lord.  For those of you who don’t know, Art was man of deep conviction and a preacher unlike anyone else in the body of Christ.  For those of you who are familiar with IHOP’s “Prophetic History,” Mike refers to Art as a “firey holiness preacher” who actually convinced Mike that Bob Jones was a prophet from God.  For this, and for all the countless times that God has used Art’s uncompromising message to cut cancer from our hearts, he will be deeply missed. 

I never met Art.  I never heard him speak publicly.  But everything I’ve ready and all I’ve heard has had an amazing impact on me.  You can check out the Ben Israel Website here and read most of his work.  I post the following graphic in loving memory of a man given over to the truth. 

My blogging lately has been sporadic.  I usually try to keep everyone up to date but things have been so packed lately, I haven’t been able to do that.  I’ll try to post the most important news and updates. 

So here’s the latest skinny.  I’m going to Uganda.  My friend John invited our church to join him and his team in pioneering a missions base in Uganda with the intention to raise up a house of prayer, orphanage, and bible college that will one day raise up Ugandan missionaries to take the Gospel up Africa and into Israel.  So, I’m raising money, getting a passport, and looking into shots.  Hopefully I’ll have a support letter soon and I may post it here to help get the word out.  For now, check out what John sent me to fill in others.

Upcoming mission trip To Uganda

This is an informative disclosure of some short-term goals and a long-term vision for some good friends who have fallen in love with the people of Uganda. I will give just a short history to set the tone. I first followed our house church leader and friend Shawn Charles and family and our friend Kato to Uganda. The need was so great But the Lord showed Him self-strong and I was hooked.

Next trip teamed up with Charles Olson father and Son and went back doing Bible distribution. Next year I took the Bennett family from KCCF and Mackenzie Higgins doing more of the same. We meet up with Alma Jones 72 years young and Dave Christian and family who while there for a year gave birth to Abigail WOW. Next trip was with a good friend from Indiana Billy Bope and Jack Baze from Archie Mo and Rick Moore. and 2nd timers Steven Bennett and Mackenzie Higgins. The word spread t he next year, several girls from the Harrisonville Mo area along with Bethany Hartzler and Mackenzie [3rd trip] who stayed the whole summer. They came home with the heart to Adopt. Mother’s Mary Hartzler and Shawna Higgins went over and blazed a trail and came home with 3 awesome Ugandan boys. The fruit over the years has been great and thank you so much for all who have given in prayer and finances. 

3 phase plan

#1 Raise funds and buy a van: our teams would use the van under the direction of Paul Busulwa. Paul is an overseer of 70 rural churches and is raising his three children alone “his wife died around 8 years ago” He has no vehicle this van would be used in his ministry and for family as well as travel with our teams as we make the trek to Uganda .

#2 Raise funds and build a well in Busia east Uganda or one of the many places that have requested one. We have paid for and had a feasibility study done and are trying to come to an agreement with landowners.

#3 Long term: pioneer a mission base for evangelism with a vision to move into Sudan. Mission base would serve as orphanage, training center, and 24/7 house of prayer
