Touched By An Angel

Things have been kind of crazy lately, which is why I haven’t been blogging as much as I normally do.  The last couple of weeks we’ve really thrown our lot in with the Midwest Prayer Center as they hold their “Glory Road” events.  They’ve been a crazy time of encountering the Lord in the miraculous.  So Christy and I went to the Midwest Prayer Center’s EGS service that they held in the midst of their second Glory Road series of meetings.

This particular night Ric Lumbard decided to hold a meeting where the staff prays over other staff members and contends for their needs. Each person would pass through a line of people who would lay hands on them, pray for them, and prophesy over them as the Lord would lead.  Christy and I submitted a request for the staff to contend for us for a house that we could use as a minstry base for the house churches the Lord is calling us to plant.

When Ric called our name we began to head to the front of the tent for prayer.  By the time we made it to the altar area, Ric suddenly commanded us to stop right where we were.  There was more urgency on his voice than normal and it startled me. We stopped in our tracks.

Ric began with great urgency to describe a pastoral angel two feet above my head.  He told us to reach out above our heads and receive what the angel was about to drop on us.  Then he said, “There’s a pastoral mantle that’s about to drop on you.  It’s on you now.”  As Ric described what he was seeing, I immediately was hit with powerful manifestations like I haven’t experienced in some time.  I was bent over, my face was hot and red and I could feel the impact of the Spirit on my body.

It was a powerful night.  I’ve been given a prophetic word lately about a token that I will find as I begin to step out into some things the Lord is telling me about, and this was definitely a token.  I may talk to Ric a little more about happened just to get his persepective.  Stay tuned, more to come…
